CODE OF ETHICS FOR THE COMMITTEE
1. Technical resources committee
All the researchers to research in various area of the Educational research (Social science) because of its multidisciplinary coerces. The technical resource committee strongly to equip next level go for the research, support and guidance the researcher.
2. Validation for the abstract
All researchers are expected to know the rules and regulations regarding plagiarism. Due acknowledgement and citations should be given while referring to published data. The research work should be original and the content should be validated with accepted software. While applying for research grant proposals, care should be taken to propose only original projects. The student papers submitted for academic credit should also follow the same guidelines. Finally the ethical committee to approval and validate abstract.
3. Plagiarism check software
Objectives
To maintain quality in research and to uphold academic integrity and to control plagiarism the college management procured one of the plagiarism detection tools, online free plagiarism (Turnitin) during January 2022.
The following are the policy decisions made.
The M.Ed., thesis should be tested by the Dean of Research before the students submit the hardcopy of their thesis to the controller of examinations from 2020 academic year onwards.
Each student can submit the softcopy of their thesis and their final copy thesis should be deposited in the repository in order to prevent duplication in the following years.
The level of plagiarism is fixed to 20% and shall be reviewed once in a year.
Each student shall be instructed to furnish an undertaking indicating the thesis has been prepared by her and the document is original work and free from plagiarism. Each supervisor shall submit a certificate indicating that the work done by the researcher under her is plagiarism free. Any violations in this regard will be taken for suitable action.
4. Approval
All research works, book publication, chapter publication, seminars, conferences, workshops and thesis approval for the authority only for Principal with committee members.
Aims & goals of the committee
A Research Ethical Committee is a group of people appointed to review research proposals to assess formally if the research is ethical. This means the research must conform to recognised ethical standards, which includes respecting the dignity, rights, safety and wellbeing of the people who take part.
- The Ethical Committee is responsible for the ethical evaluation of research projects
- All researchers must respect and welcome the contribution of the Ethical committee.
- The Ethical committee is responsible to raise awareness with regards to malpractices in research promoting and recommending Research Integrity in all endeavours.
- Find strategic and effective ways to curb plagiarism.
- Educate and inform researchers on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights.
