SYSTEM ADOPTED FOR THE LATE BLOOMERS
Bridge course provided the students more confidence and skills for successful transition to Education College. It has built Positive relationships between new students with their programme and faculty and assisted students in their personal development of life skills, ethical judgment and moral fortitude. It has helped students for enhancing critical thinking skills through self exploration and class experiences and also has given exposure to college life in a structured and supportive learning community. The students have given enough opportunities to expose their capacity with more confidence.
The Bridge course content of B.Ed was classified into four different sections as we followed in Entry behavior test and for M.Ed, Fundamentals of Research was given. The students were given enough practice during the course to gain experiential learning and in addition to that they were stirred to recall the content which they have learnt in the course, by submitting an assignment. In the end of the Bridge course, a Post test also has been conducted to analyse the outcome of the course. Finally, Course Completion Certificate was provided to the students who have successfully completed the course.
PROGRESSED LEARNERS
The students who scored more than 50% in the Entry Behavior test were considered as advanced learners. Those advanced learners were allowed to use all the sources of the college ambience in the initial days itself. They were motivated to submit additional assignments, to attend various quizzes organized by the University, to participate in various competitions and were given opportunities to utilize library with INFLIBNET to equip themselves with sufficient knowledge and awareness on the novel and innovative educational system. They were persuaded to learn though OER- Open Educational Resource to develop their self learning ability and to deepen their capability. Thus the institution provided all the academic support at the entry level itself based on the needs of every individual learner.
