WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL

 

The Women Empowerment Cell in our college is established to empower girl students and women staff members to enhance their understanding of issues related to women in the society and to face the challenges with great courage. The goal of the cell is to bring about the advancement, development and empowerment of women. This cell creates a feel in them that our college campus is a haven and second home to them.

            The formation of Women Empowerment cell at the educational Institutions was proposed to safeguard the women from any discrimination and unbecoming behavior.

 Vision

     Our vision is to acquire the world free of thoughts where women’s rights are to be respected, imposing that women are strong, effective, and well-resourced to collate for achievement and to be free from gender biased society.

    To promote general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the College and to provide and maintain a dignified, congenial working environment for women and enable them to explore their imminent potential in all aspects.

Mission
      Our Mission is to explore, design and implement ways to bring change in the society and concur to the freedom feminism and Cell shall strive to create a better and just society by empowering women.

     To train women to acquire wide range of skills and knowledge and to develop and increase their social, economic and intellectual capacities for peace, security and prosperity of mankind.

Objectives

1. Identification of strong leadership, change-makers among women and girls and building their capacity.
2. To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender.
3. To organize awareness programs on gender sensitization.
4. The provision of opportunities and programs for girls and women to be financially, mentally and emotionally empowered to promote their growth as individuals in their own right.
5. To conduct seminars and workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.
6. Arranging seminars to create awareness on the economic, social, political, and legal rights of women.
7. Organizing different activities to make women aware of their health, sports, self-defense etc.
8. Conducting various competitions to encourage their artistic talents for creative thinking
9. To highlight the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene and safety
10. Celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th, every year
11. To inculcate entrepreneurial attitude among young girls, scientists at the earliest so that they can be “job providers” rather than “job seekers”.

Composition of Women Empowerment Cell

         Women empowerment Cell of our college was founded to support female students and staff to improve their knowledge of issue affecting women in society and prepare them to meet obstacles head-on. The cell’s mission is to promote the development, advancement and empowerment of women. This cell gives them an impression that our college campus is a safe sanctuary and a second home for female students. Women Empowerment cell was constructed in our college on 05.01.2022 with the guidance of TNTEU University coordinator Dr.M.Kanmani Capacity Building & Personality Development Center, Women Grievance Redressal Cell and Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell.
